We hired Electric Pen to give our internal community portal a face lift. The portal serves a large organization within Microsoft (6000 people) and is a place for these employees to come and find technical information or connect with a colleague who might have important technical skills or experience that could be leveraged. We wanted to focus the branding on the people that make up the corporation. Electric Pen did a great job and we’ve seen our usage grow month over month since the project was implemented.
Campus portal statistics:
• An increase of 5,000 visitors a month for the last 5 months, totalling 45,000 visits for the month of Jan ’07
• Initial goal was 6,000 users. Currently the site hosts 11,500 users
• There are 225,000 posts to forums
• An average of 30 new users sign up each day
• An average of 1200 posts are made a day
We use Electric Pen for a variety of projects every year. We can always count on EP to thoroughly understand our goals and needs, develop a clear approach to each project and deliver it on time and in budget. This, we would expect from anyone we work with. What brings us back to EP, however, is the creative enthusiasm and personal approach they bring to their work. I am happy to be counted among the many satisfied clients of Electric Pen.
Electric Pen has been our design firm for the past eight years. During that time, we have formed an extraordinary partnership, collaborating on projects ranging from business cards and stationery, multiple websites, launching two new businesses, annual holiday cards, magazine ads, and direct mail pieces.
We value this relationship for many reasons, including the following:
• Electric Pen asks us for our opinion, and values our input.
• EP thinks strategically.
• EP is responsive.
• We consistently get the highest quality, best looking, most creative design.
• Electric Pen helps us express who we are as a firm to our clients and to the community.
Electric Pen is clearly committed to understanding their clients’ goals and needs before designing anything for them. They listen to their clients and customers to ensure that the work successfully drives business or supports other goals their clients may have. That’s why their work is so effective. Again and again, I’ve seen them take their clients to the next level.
Electric Pen was a delight to work with. When we needed them, they responded quickly and appropriately. When we had to make a decision, they gave us the information we needed, prompted us politely, and then waited for a response. Together with John and his crew, we built an entire new website, from conception to design to execution. We love our new site, and we love Electric Pen!
Electric Pen has been an invaluable partner from day one, adapting their approach to fit our internal branding process, and providing flexibility and responsiveness in development and delivery. Time and time again, I have been impressed by their unwavering professional courtesy and their intuitive knack to get it right the first time.
With Electric Pen's help, Foster Pepper was able to achieve internal buy-in on a contemporary new look to accompany its name change...without sacrificing brand equity. This subsequently provided the law firm with a competitive edge in the marketplace.
